1. The Wildlife Park.
The lake district wildlife park is a 35 minute drive from Seagreen. With meerkats, alpacas, birds of prey and lemurs, this wildlife park is fun for all the family.
There's a shop for souvenirs, a cafe for tea and cake and a play-area to keep the little ones entertained whilst you have a rest.
Before returning home, stop off at the lake's Distillery and pick up a few gifts or enjoy a tour.
2. Keswick.
The market town of Keswick is a 45 minute drive from Seagreen. Enjoy a scenic walk around the lake with the dogs, head into town and pick up some gifts and souvenirs, or stop off at Hope Park for crazy golf and their dog friendly cafe.
Hope Park is dog friendly, and you can even treat your furry one to something from the dog menu at the cafe, or let them enjoy the paddling pool in summer.
3. Dodd Wood.
Dodd Wood is a 40 minute drive from Seagreen View and is a hidden gem of a wood, with stunning views and great walks.
Take one of the high trails and enjoy the view, keep an eye our for red squirrels and stop off at the cafe before heading home.
So, if you are looking for quiet, peaceful walks through woodland, then Dodd Wood is for you.
4. Maryport.
Maryport has so much to offer that's it's difficult to know where to start, especially as it's only a 20 minute drive along the coast.
The aquarium is a must visit for everyone, with a shop for gifts and souvenirs and a cafe next door for tea and cake, there's even a large play area and free crazy golf with every entrance ticket.
Take a walk around the harbour and enjoy the view or head into town and do some shopping.
There's plenty of places to stop off for food or drink, from the excellent chip shop, to the choice of pubs and a highly recommended Indian restaurant.
In addition to this, there is go-karting for the active ones and a climbing wall for the little ones.
5. Whinlatter Forest.
Whinlatter is a 50 minute drive from Seagreen, but is worth the journey.
Visit the shop and collect your Gruffalo pack, then go in search of the monster and his forest friends, or just enjoy a relaxing walk through the woodland.
For the more active , try GoApe and climb through the trees, or maybe book an alpaca experience for all the family.
Stop off at the cafe for tea and cake and relax before heading home.
